Ari Zahavi has spent twenty years helping trial lawyers win cases through visual communication. He holds a J.D. and has worked on over 1,600 litigation matters — from single-plaintiff personal injury cases to multi-district litigation involving hundreds of millions of dollars.
His legal training shapes how he approaches every project. He understands case theory from the attorney’s perspective: what elements must be proved, what the defense will argue, where the jury will get confused. He understands visual communication from the cognitive science perspective: how people process visual information, what they retain, how memory works during deliberation, and why some visuals persuade while others are ignored.
This combination — legal reasoning and visual cognition — defines CTM’s approach. Every project begins with the same questions: What must the fact-finder conclude? What stands in the way of that conclusion? What visual will remove that obstacle?
Notable case experience includes In re Cathode Ray Tube (CRT) Antitrust Litigation (MDL No. 1917, N.D. Cal., $563 million settlement), McRO, Inc. v. Bandai Namco Games America Inc. (patent litigation), The State vs. Oscar Pistorius (criminal defense), and Clifford Law’s $35 million catastrophic injury settlement.
Ari presents continuing legal education programs on visual strategy and demonstrative evidence for bar associations, trial lawyers’ associations, and law firms nationwide.
Elena Borodina brings over twelve years of experience in litigation graphics production across diverse practice areas. As Director of Operations, she ensures that every project is delivered on time, on specification, and trial-ready.
Elena manages production workflows, client communications, quality control, and the logistics of courtroom delivery. She understands litigation timelines, court requirements, and trial technology across jurisdictions throughout the United States.
Her approach is built on three commitments: reliability — if we take on a case, that case receives full attention and meets its deadlines; communication — open status updates throughout production, no surprises; and quality — every deliverable is tested for courtroom compatibility and provided with backup formats.
Elena has contributed to significant litigation matters including the CRT Antitrust Litigation, McRO v. Bandai Namco, The State vs. Oscar Pistorius, and Clifford Law’s record settlement.
